From Hat Yai to Donsak, the jetty to koh samui is about 300+ KM, usually by thai mini bus is about 3-4 hrs. the ferry will take about 2.5hrs, thats excluding the waiting time for ferry queue. At koh samui, the jetty is at the west side of the island where popular spot like chaweng beach is on the east side of the island, that will take another 30 mins. Be prepare to take a full day trip. Another alternative is take bus to Surat Thani, then take ferry ( inclusive with jetty transfer ) to Koh samui. Please do let me know if you need further information. Hi Esther,
