Hello! Glad to find this site. ❤(◕‿◕✿) We are planning a trip to Thailand this coming school holiday…
This is our first time, so as a beginer we choose to go to Hatyai, Songkhla.
We are currently working out our 4D3N itinerary using Garmin GPS, but there are a lot of POI that we can’t find in it, so your experiences will be our guide.
Our plan is
Day 1: Butterworth to Bkt Kayu Hitam, lunch at Waterview restaurant, Hatyai floating market, the Golden Mermaid statue, night market.
Day 2 : The zoo and the water park and all the famous Wat…
Day 3 : Songkhla aquarium, ko yo island, hatyai town, eating birdnest, night market…
Day 4 : shopping, home sweet home…
If you don’t mind, please advise us on some Places of Interest along the way and places to stay close to beach?
From your Songkhla Day3, where is this place after the Zoo? Water Park?

Malaysia free map http://www.malfreemaps.com/ does cover south Thailand, you might want to give it a try.
Songkhla is a small beach town, nothing much for sight seeing.
The Aquarium is small and in my own opinion, not really worth a visit.
After spending time at the zoo and water park, it will be a tiring day, the restaurant in the zoo near the water park is a nice place for dinner.
I will try to finish the trip info soonest possible.
